About the Project

Strengthening journalism across Africa through accessible, expert-led training.

MediaSkillBridge is a free online learning platform designed to build the capacity of journalists, media practitioners, and newsrooms — especially across Nigeria and West Africa — with modern, practical, and ethically grounded journalism skills.

The Project

What is MediaSkillBridge?

MediaSkillBridge is an initiative to bridge the training gap facing journalists and media workers in Nigeria and beyond. The platform delivers high-quality, structured courses covering investigative reporting, digital journalism, press freedom, fact-checking, newsroom management, and more.

All foundational courses are available free of charge — because we believe access to professional development should not depend on where you live or how much you earn.

The platform is built in collaboration with leading media development organisations to ensure that course content reflects the realities of journalism in Africa, grounded in global standards.
